Rhys Lister-Stevens is a photographer based in Toronto, ON whose work spans studio photography, documentary work, digital compositing, and found footage video works among others. Rhys has experimented with many styles and mediums of photography and is looking to expand his work into the area of fine art through clear creative direction and increasing exposure.

 

Rhys' interests lie in exploring human interactions between physical and digital spaces and the way we see through the use of different mediums and technology within his work. At the core of this is a desire to gain a greater understanding of the limits of our perception by using photography and video as investigative tools of observation, ultimately to gain a greater understanding of the relationships we have built between these spaces. To understand the relationship between materiality and art as well as to encourage tangibility in art is a core element of Rhys’ practice.
